If your driving and your temperature light is on or temperature is going up what do you do in this situation? Here are the 7 things you should do when you see your temperature is going up.

- Pull over in a safe location where it’s not dangerous for you to get out of your car and turn off the vehicle right away.

- Don’t open the hood until the temperature light goes off or the temperature gauge goes down because you can burn yourself.

- Check the radiator coolant level and add if needed or there can be an air bubble trapped in your radiator, which opening the cap should release it.

- Before opening the cap make sure the cap is not hot because the coolant will fly out and could cause a serious injury to your skin, eyes, mouth and more.

- Check the radiator hoses for leaks, holes or blockage.

- When you figured out the problem and it was repaired, restart your engine and head out on your way to do what you were doing.

- Monitor the temperature just in case the problem was not fixed all the way.
