How does suspension work?

Suspension: “ Suspension is the system of tires, tire air, springs, shock absorbers and linkages that connects a vehicle to its wheels and allows relative motion between the two. Suspension systems must support both road holding/handling and ride quality,
which are at odds with each other.”
Vehicle performance not only depends on horsepower or torque but also on the car’s suspension components because the suspension is what helps it steer and absorb our bumpy roads. If the roads today were perfectly smooth without any bumps we would not need suspension, but since there are bumpers and potholes suspension helps us get a smooth ride. It works by maximizing the friction between the tires and the road to provide steering ability and handling, also suspension provides comfort. The suspension is made out of chassis, the spring which absorbs and reduces excess energy, along with the struts and the last item would be an anti-sway bar which shifts the movement of the wheels and stabilizes the car. To have it provide the best comfort and handling your suspension has to be in good condition.
